An underwater (and edible) advertisement to present the D*na Festival Dénia
If people are on the beach, let's put the ads into the water. And if it is a gastronomic festival, let even the fish enjoy the gastronomy. It's fair, right?
The action, which is captured in this video shared on social networks, has consisted not only of designing but also of "cooking edible advertisements for the fish" and placing them within the water of the main beaches of Dénia so that they were only visible by bathers and divers. “We wanted to tell the visitors who come to Dénia every summer that from September 30 to October 1 our city will be the epicenter of gastronomy led by renowned national and international chefs, local producers and restaurateurs who will show why Dénia It has established itself as a culinary reference. But as we are aware that people are resting and saturated with advertising, we chose to do something out of the ordinary and make it a pleasant surprise," the festival organization declares.
With the aim of creating a sustainable action, each of the advertisements was made from natural ingredients with which a piece of compacted and frozen food for fish was made and which was later labeled with the image of D*na . In this way, when the preparation came into contact with water, the advertisement dissolved, becoming a delicacy for marine fauna. In the words of chef Quique Dacosta, three Michelin stars and curator of the festival, “with this original and fun action we wanted to kick off this year's edition and involve some of the main protagonists of our cuisine. sailor: the fish.”
We had a very, very good time doing it. And this is just the beginning.
